Yay!! My mom just got back home. With my Sims 3 game. So happy!! I am installing it right now. If anyone wants to see a certain picture, please let me know. I'll get some. I think I am going to be in Create-A-Sim for a long time! *EDIT* I really want to make a creative unqiue username. Right now it's OneAdorkableGirl.. Any suggestions? Maybe a color in a different language? Or something that I like.. Umm.. I like volleyball, and other sports. I love to write (duh). My traits: Clumsy, shy, Hopeless Romantic, and anything else you guys think would "describe me"? I have brown curly hair, bluish green/gray eyes. Uh I am really into that camoflauge color. Karma points for any suggestions.

Heehee, I had a feeling when you went AWOL for a few hours. Congrats, have fun with it! I would LOVE to see some baby/toddler pics! I saw a couple of baby pics on Snooty, but they were pretty small. It looked like the baby was wrapped in a blanket? I pretty much suck at making screen names, I almost always use the same one, lol. And I think I may have burned out what was left of my creativity coming up with stuff for my apartment...which then became a table.

Thank you, Larinda. Ok, I will definitely get you some baby and toddler pictures. After placing my Sim into a house, I zoomed out just a little. There was a neighbor outside, and it was a grandma, dad, and a baby toddler. I thought it was so darling! I must say Create-A-Sim is AMAZING! I LOVE the Create-A-Style feature. However, I made a Sim.. and I feel like SUCH a newb, all over again! . My Sim did not turn out unique like my Sims 2 Sims, lol. Aw, that stinks. I really could use a name. My creativity is gone too. I cannot ever come up with something good and different.

OK - I've only got a few screenshots. I am really enjoying the game. It's complicated... But I am learning. Its only complicated because it's all new, and we have to get used to all new stuff. But I LOVE the build mode, it's amazing. I took a random premade family and put them on a lot. I am making their house - and I've exited the game because I wanted to come back and show some pictures. The game is GORGEOUS. Anyways, I only have a couple pictures of a toddler, I cannot find any newborns. It looks like I will have to get my very first Sim (Charmin) to get herself and man and get a baby on the way! . I will show pictures as her pregnancy progresses, and when the baby is born. Charmin always has me laughing; she has the clumsy trait, and she's always tripping over her feet. It makes me giggle! I LOVE when an Evil Sim walks by, because they laugh evilly and it IS soo funny when it happens. Because, it's random, and you are not expecting it. lol You can TALK while holding a baby?! Amazing! More pictures to come.

*sigh* That is cool Kharma. I'm feeling a very, very, very, very, very, very, very X100 jealous feeling. My parents said "we'll see" *blink* it not a "We'll see" it is sopposed to be a "HELL YEA!" answer. Take TONS of pictures of EVERYTHING, and make videos, I could care a less if they suck. I want to know what it is like.

Aw, Ply, I am sorry. I will take loads of pictures just for you! Hm.. it's all very confusing -- but I will try to make some videos. However, I am very sleepy. I'm upset too -- I made a Sim that I wanted to upload to my page.. BUT no.. I clicked the Check Mark button, and boom.. cannot seem to figure out how to get back, and upload her. I could have sworn someone said that the Prima Guide had a cheat that could take us back to the CAS and fix the Sim, if need be. (Like if we didn't like the way a certain Sim looked..) NPC? HeeHee.

Great pics, Kharm, keep 'em coming! ;D So you'll just see a sim walk by with their toddler like that? Are they always carrying them of do they ever put them down? I saw a screen shot of a woman holding a baby in what appeared to be a community lot (maybe a library or a bookstore?), so can you actually go inside those buildings? You're right, the colors and details do look very nice. I have also heard that the interface is very different and kind of confusing to learn, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it after a while.

Thanks for the idea, Rainy. But after like hours of trying to decide on a name yesterday.. I had one that was ClumsyBrunette.. But mom didn't like it. Lol.. so I just kept Adorkable girl. D: Larinda: Well, those Sims I was "testing" out because you said you wanted baby pictures. So, those were my "main" family at the time. Yes, they will put them down. It was so cute, when I zoomed out a little from Charmin's house -- I saw a grandma, dad, and a toddler. He was on the ground. Well, when Charmin went to the area where the chess tables were and the fountain.. that same grandma came by and sat down on the bench WITH the toddler! It's so adorable! Because, the little toddlers look like their clinging to their family members shoulder. I just giggle when I see it, lol. I am a dork. Yes, there are SOME community lots that you can go in. Like you can go into the Art Gallery. Charmin met another Sim that had the artistic trait. You find out by talking with Sims and then when you choose an interaction that resembles your trait. Like I chose "Funny" then it gave me a list of interactions (Because Charmin was the following traits: Artistic, Clumsy, Good sense of humor, Great Kisser (I can't wait to see what this does, lol.) and I forgot the last one. D: Anyways, I chose "Make silly face" to this Sim named Emma and because Emma had a good sense of humor too, SHE played back along! She made a silly face too! LOL. It was so cute. OK - the list of places you can go in: Art Gallery Library You can eat outside the Bistro Public Pool (I saw this cute interaction, will definitely get you a picture ) I think there is one more place. Honestly, don't worry about community lots. We've had community lots that we've been able to go in since TS1... there is no way.. EA would be THAT stupid not to let us have interactive places to go inside. It would ruin videos, and stories. They would lose customers. Because, honestly, it takes A LOT away from the game. The Sims 2 base game was limited too. But it did have places we could go in.. the clothing store, and grocery store. I think that's it. Oh, and a public pool? Yeah, the interface is very different. Its just in a different area from TS2.. After playing for five years, you get used to that. So I am sure after playing, everyone will get a "feel" of it and know where everything is. More pictures coming! Going into my game now and gathering some up. Oh... while playing last night. I think I saw a pregnant Sim. So.. I'll take a screen shot of her.

Well, that's good to know! I was a little worried that all we were seeing of community lots were shots from the outside. From some of the pics I saw, I got the impression that sims work at these community lots. There was a shot of a sim in front of a theater (??) and he had options like, "go to work", "buy a ticket" and "take a class".
There were also some shots of a panel which showed squares with pictures on them (I'm guessing they were depicting different activities) and there were times listed below them. It kind of looked like a to do list of sorts. Are these the wishes we've been hearing about?
The one think I'm dying to know about is how the seamless neighborhood affects the way you play. I know that you like to play multiple families like I do, so let me know how it is playing only one (or a handful with the save feature).

Yeah, you can work at the theater. Charmin was into music, so she had to go to the theater. To work. She also got this one thing that allowed her to choose to stay after hours and help set up the stage for a concert, I believe it was. It got her extra money for that night. Hmm -- I'll have to look into that more. I did notice that when you hover over something that their doing. Like sleeping. It looked like it gave a time that she would be done sleeping. It said 8:30. So, I thought that was pretty cool... I'll have to pay attention to it more and let you know. If that's what you mean? lol. Either way, I will check into the whole "Squares with pictures" and Ohh... YEP, those are wishes, lol! You can right click on them to cancel the wish (which generates new ones) or you can left click on it, and "promise" that the wish will be fulfilled. When you left click on it, it will go below into a square that has four smaller squares. So you can promise up to four wishes at a time. :-) Oh... no.. lol, those are not wishes. Wishes are to the left. The squares to the right (I have a picture). Those are moodlets. When you do things like Lailey is a Vegetarian and I made Tofu dogs. Well, because she enjoyed the meal, you get a yummy food moodlet. This gives you a happy mood + 15 and it last for 6 hours! Keeping your Sims happy is A LOT easier now. :-) I love the open neighborhood. I can go anywhere, without loading anything! One time, I took Charmin to this random house -- which was filled with men. She got to ask if any of them were single...! Which I thought, was amazing, because now I can find out who is with who, and if I ever *did* want to try and break up someone, I could. If they're not single, a popup to the right will show and tell you that the person is in a relationship and WHO their in a relationship with! :-) It's amazing! Although, I have yet to find out how to play multiple families. :-( I know that I can add more families into the town by clicking on the three dots and clicking on edit town... but I don't know what's going to happen when I put more in. :-( The time is MUCH slower. Needs decay slower. Sleeping is longer. Food/hygiene/bladder/fun are all fast needs. When fulfilling them. I will try to add more families to the neighborhood and see how that works out. I have a few random pictures. :-) I will try my hardest to get a lot more to share. OH by the way... I am using the IN GAME camera for these screenshots! Aren't they gorgeous?! Mortimer Goth: Random Sim: Gunther Goth: Random Sim: Cornelia Goth: Lailey Madison: Lailey is: Flirty, Vegetarian, Charismatic, Lucky, and a Party Animal. She did this while at the mirror, lol! Random Pregnant Sim: That I KNOW was pregnant.. but now she doesn't look pregnant? At the Gym: Agnes Crumplebottome: The blond haired one. SunSet Valley Sign: Grandma & Child: Pictures of Neighborhood: Moodlet/Wishes Panel: Sorry that it's dark. I used print screen. More screenshots to come.

Okay, so wishes are like wants/lifetimes wants and moodlets are kind of like being "in the zone" for a while. I'm guessing since there are no more aspirations, there are no more aspiration rewards? What about career rewards? I like that you can ask people if they're single or not. I had no idea Checo Ramirez was married for the longest time! I don't know about the time moving slower though. The Goths are scary looking, they actually fit their name! Maybe she had her baby? Are there baby accessories, like strollers or swings? Crumplebutt doesn't look particularly friendly, does she, lol? Is there any backstory info about her? Or memories? Do they even still have memories? Wow, there are a lot of tabs to look at! Let me see.... Needs Relationships Job Inventory Rewards? Personality I heard that they don't have skill points anymore, they work on specific skills pertaining to their jobs. What is that like? Let me know when I start annoying you, because I'll just keep asking questions and more questions, lol.

Yes, you're correct about wishes/moodlets. There are no more aspiration rewards, but there are career rewards, and lifetime rewards, and I think something else. I don't know, it could be me that just thinks the time is slower. I'll keep an eye on it. Lol! Yeah, they definitely fit their name now. I do not know about strollers or swings. But I learned that in buy mode there is a button to go to "Kids Room" objects. There is still baby beds, and now there looks to be those little things that hang above the baby bed and are on the ceiling? I haven't looked at Kid stuff yet, because I don't have any children. Lol - no, she doesn't. I think she's prettier, though. She's also rich! I found ou that Sims can find out if other Sims are rich too. No more guessing if NPC's are rich for legacies. lol No, there are no more memories. I think that *might* be because they want to use an expansion pack for it? I can go to her lot and see what her background story is. Needs is the very last tab on there. (The one with the head) Yep, that's needs. The first one shows their favorites, their traits, and something else. There are still skills. You just have to unlock them. Once you start doing a skill, it will show up on the skill panel. When you haven't started a skill, the panel will say.. You have not completed a skill yet, or something like that. Then it will tell you how to go about starting one. But yes, you do need to work on the skills pertaining to their jobs. It's actually pretty amazing. When you go to work, your skill goes UP! Which is great, because skills are slower now. But with the help of a job, its not so bad. I'll have to check on that though -- because maybe there are some skills I can't do. I am not sure. I am still learning the game, there is so much to learn. I have to pause and go, a lot! lol Not at all, you're not annoying me. I love to be of help, so I am glad that you're asking questions. Woot! I officially have RiverView installed. I will be exploring that neighborhood/town and showing pictures of it as well. A few pictures: From SunSet Valley (I promise... I WILL get you a baby picture...! D:) Kaylynn: I might have spelled her name wrong, sorry. Erin Kennedy: The lady that I thought was pregnant. Turns out.. She was. Lailey: Lailey got a pop up that asked if she could go to the grocery store and get some ingredients for a neighbor. I thought this was really neat. She then got to go to Bessie's house and deliver the ingredients. You click "Share ingredients" - it's another great way to get to know everyone. Lailey at the park: So, I then took Lailey down to the park. She had full needs, so I figured, what the hey. She needs a man. Sadly, ever guy I looked at either wasn't exactly what I was hoping, or was good looking, but in a relationship! Poor Lailey. Super Spy!: Lol, I can't remember her name. I think it's Victoria. After no luck finding a male companion.. I took Lailey down to the graveyard. It's BEYOND amazing! But -- this is just my opinion. The ghosts are AMAZING! I love them! They kind of have this sparkly glow to them. The music when they're around is WOW. It sounds so eerie, yet, I can't even explain it! Randomly they laugh evilly! Which just adds to the whole eerie effect. I was really hoping one of them would do something spooky. But they never did. I am glad that they didn't frighten Lailey. She stood there and fished, but caught nothing. Her skill was too low, lol. ^ I believe purple stands for hunger. (Only because this ghost had a bubble above him that had a plate/fork/and knife. ^ White, is old age, I think. I am just guessing here. Lailey: Over at her neighbors house. When you get invited in, or ask to be invited in; you can see all the furniture inside the house, and you can use it. However, Lailey kept getting a pop up that said she was being inappropriate.. and some of the house hold got mad at her... lol Here Lailey is on the phone at the neighbors yard. It's so cute.. she'll walk around, and she'll talk.. and then she'll stop and a few seconds later, she'll giggle/laugh at something the other person said, lol! More to come!

In some of the reviews I read, they mentioned that time was slower too, so it's not just you. They said there were a lot of things to juggle all at once, so you need the extra time to keep up with it all. Aww, are the mobiles cute at least? The ones in TS2 are kind of blah. When you ask them how much money they have, do they tell you an actual amount or do they just do the one, two or three dollar signs like in TS2? It seems like the skills and the badges have been "merged" somewhat. So you need certain badges to progress in your job, but you have to actually "do" something to build it, instead of just reading from a book? One of the sites I was looking at showed that a sim needed gardening skill for her job, so she was growing some tomatoes. Heehee, Kaylynn is quite the ugly duckling, isn't she? That certainly explains a lot, huh? Lol, she's even wearing a black and white outfit! That must feel really strange to see "townies" having babies! Lol, I wonder what she was doing to be "inappropriate"? Maybe the traits each sim has determine what they find to be inappropriate?

Ah well, I am glad I am not the only one. I think that its great to have the time slow down. I agree with the article, there's more to be done.. so time needs to be a bit slower. The mobiles are quite cute, I think. You can see the screen and what's on it. I'll try to get a picture, and you can decide if you hate it, or not. No, I didn't ask them if they were rich. She found out by talking to the Sims. Which I thought was pretty cool. It didn't show a dollar sign, etc. It just had a right corner pop up say: "Lailey learned that Bessie is rich." I'll see if there is any more options to get them to tell how much money. But I wouldn't get hopes up too high? Perhaps that will be a later feature. :-) There's still tons of interactions that I need to learn about/see. Yes, you actually have to interact/work to progress in your job. I love this feature. I loved the Chance Card things in The Sims 2. But I think this is more advanced, and allows me to actually have a part in the job. It's almost like I am going to work with them, but since I cannot it allows me to participate. I like that the jobs have advanced, even if it's a little. I heard the first expansion pack will be Business/Opportunities. So perhaps, we will have jobs open up since everyone wants to "Go to work" with their Sims. If it's anything like The Sims Online. I am all for it! However, I really hope that they add more interactions, add restaurants (I would love to be a waitress) Like I was in the Sims Online. I think they should also introduce new romantic interactions, and dating places, and Clubs. I also read that they're currently working on 3 expansion packs!! The other one is Pets, I don't know what the third one is. But we will not know for sure, until EA confirms this. I made a comment about If pets was true. I hope they add more family interactions for the animals, a little more animals.. to keep those people wanting a Farm Expansion pack. :-( That does not appeal to me at all. I would love new ideas for expansion packs too.. but gah.. come on.. Farm Life seems like such a chore.. I got plenty of chores in real life, lol. I really believe that because Ghosts are so amazing in the base game. Aliens, Vampires, If those will be creatures, which are the MOST popular ones that everyone is asking for right now.. will be brilliant, as well! It is very strange to see townies having babies. Except, I don't think she's a townie. I think she's a pre made. I wish I would have seen her have the baby, or seen her at the hospital. It's odd because when I saw her, she was pregnant, now the baby is a toddler! I think this is just a bit glitchy. Because, my day does not even go that fast. So, I guess I should keep a look out for people, and check on them often. I guess 3 days could go by pretty fast, lol. Lailey doesn't have the inappropriate trait, so that's what confused me. But I guess it was rude that she used their belongings.. Perhaps, she has to have "permission", lol. She used the shower... . My bad.

Lol, I think a Farm EP would be fun! Especially in conjunction with a Business EP! They could grow all their own food and raise chickens and cows and horses! Maybe even goats and sheep! You could have pony rides, barn dances, a farmer's market, baby chicks, a horse ranch....so many things. In real life living on a farm is not that fun, but in the Sims? Who knows? They should definitely bring some creatures in. That's such a big part of the game. It seems weird not to have aliens. It does seem strange that the baby would grow up so fast. Unless maybe that wasn't the baby she had? Maybe she has other kids at home? I don't know. I think it would freak me out to have people running around having babies without my "permission", lol. Ahahaha, she went in their shower?! If someone I just met used my shower, I'd probably be ticked too, lol. But then again, sims are not like us. They're not bothered at all by strangers walking into their house to offer them club memberships, vampires and aliens don't even register on their radar and putting babies down on the cold hard floor seems entirely reasonable to them.

There are no aliens!?!?! Oh my god!!! Why! That just seems wrong! I totally missed this when it was first up. Congrats Kharm! I've enjoyed looking through the pictures, it's nice to finally have a first hand account of the game in full at my finger tips The Goth's look so cool ;D So do the ghosts! I like that they actually glow now, pretty cool. How are you finding CAS in general? Have you have another go at making some simmies? I heard rumours it was hard to create really different looking sims each time; your opinion? It's strange seeing sims that aren't adorned in anything not Maxis again, lol, if you get what I mean. I think everyone's so used to seeing TS2 sims draped in Nouk/Rose hair, makeup by Bruno, skins by Louis or whatever, that seeing just 'bare' natural sims is quite startling. No one's confirmed if making CC for TS3 is available or not, have they? I haven't been keeping up with the news. I'm curious about that, to see how low EA have sunk really Lol I like the pop-up saying Lailey was being 'inappropriate' ;D Very realistic lol! You haven't posted any pics of Charmin yet, have you? Or have I missed them Keep us updated ^^
