How do you pick an heir for your legacy? Looks? Traits? Skills? Post here.
For me, I mainly go for looks. I want my Sims to have good genetics. I only really look at the facial features, though. And it's nice to have a Sim with good traits and skills, but I don't usually look at that first. Gender doesn't matter to me.

I tend to look at looks, sometimes skills (if they have any), and I try to look at gender too. Like right now, I have two girls and a boy. Well depending on how well they're traits are, as in, behavioral actions, or their genetics, and skills will be considered for heir. I also like to switch it off. If I had a girl Heir first, then I want a male heir next. If I have all girls, or all boys and male was the last heir, I guess I'll have to keep going until I get a girl -- or until I find a boy that I just really have fun playing.

I've only done one official legacy and I decided early on that the easiest way to choose was just to select the oldest child. I'm not particularly concerned with looks, so that's not really an issue for me.

I decided (though I always quit before the elders are even close to dying...) through facial features, skills, relationships (if I'm doing the actual actual legacy rules) and gender. So, pretty much what most people do.
