General Rules
Please take the time to read these rules. We would greatly appreciate it if every member followed them.
Thank you for taking the time to read the rules, and have a good time at the forum.
Please take the time to read these rules. We would greatly appreciate it if every member followed them.
Double Posting:
If you go to a topic and the most recent post on it is your own, you are not allowed to post again. If you have something else to add, you must edit your post.
Categories:
Keep to the categories! If you want to say something about The Sims 3, for example, please put it in the Sims 3 category. If what you want to post doesn't fit under a category, post it in General Chat.
Behave:
Behave. This is a simple rule that is easy to follow. Do not discriminate people because of where they live, or who they are. Don't start fights otherwise you may find yourself in trouble. Please be respectful of all members. Just remember the 'Golden Rule' - treat others as you want to be treated. We want to create a friendly community here at Simmers' Lounge.
Thread Hijacking:
Try not to hijack a thread. Hijacking is when someone else starts a thread, for example, about their Sims dog, and then you start posting about your day and everyone replies to that and ignores the dog. If you would like to change the subject, please create a new topic in the appropriate category.
Spelling/Grammar:
Use spell check or try to write with rare spelling errors. Not many people like slang. Also, don't type FULL IN CAPITALS LIKE THIS. We won't be extremely strict with this rule, but if your posts on the forum are hard to understand or annoying to read we may give you a warning.
Common Sense:
Don't post anything rude, or bad, even if it's in your own table. Threads like these will be deleted or locked. It's up to you to decide if it's a good topic to be posting about, so please be responsible. Don't go posting about private things about other people, either.
Karma:
As you may or may not know, we have a feature on the site called Karma which shows the friendliness and helpfulness of each user. We ask that you do not make deals with a friend to boost each others karma, or promise something in exchange for karma boosts. If someone asks you to make a deal like that with them, you can lower their karma and/or email an admin/mod here at the site and we will warn them.
Thank you for taking the time to read the rules, and have a good time at the forum.
